Product Description

The Sevylor Fish Hunter HF360 12' inflatable boat is the heart of our personal fishing boat project. Made of extra heavy duty virgin pvc and an inflatable floor using I beam construction, this boat is very rigid and stable making it the perfect choice for the base of our system. The boat inlcudes drains with caps, an all around safety line, gear pouch, built-in rod holders and swivel oarlocks.

This boat combined with the needed accessories included on our personal fishing boat project main page will create the ultimate portable personal fishing boat that can be easily transported, easily set up and easily broke down. And it will provide you with hours of great fishing in the middle of it all.

When you go to Amazon.com to order this boat, be sure to select the 12' model (HF360). The length is the overall length and is not the amount of room inside the boat, so the 8' or 10' is really too small to fish comfortable with all your gear and tackle. You may notice people commenting in some customer reviews on this boat that there isn't enough room. That's because they didn't get the 12' model (HF360).

Reviewer: Codym444,
I bought the HF 360 12' boat about a month ago. I have taken it out about 8 times on some pretty wild rivers in Montana. This boat holds its own! It has been amazingly tough, I have hit rocks, bolders, sticks, and even a sharp pointy piece of submerged steel and my fishunter keeps on floating. I have an electric pump which inflates the boat in about 5 minutes start to finish, I also have a hand pump to top her off. I want to get a floor for the boat but haven't been able to find one and I am too poor at carpentry to make my own. I have gone over several rapids and lots of whitewater and this boat doesn't even flinch. Today I took it over a man made white water rapid that should have flipped the boat over, it broke my oars but the boat stayed upright and stable! I love my fishhunter, very durable, dependable, stable and fun. BTW this boat would NEVER hold six people, but my dad and I take it out on the weekends, it is perfect for two adults to fish from, three would be tight but do-able. Four adults would be impossible. You might manage 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. My only complaint is that the oar locks are located directly above the oar holders and when you row you continuously scrape the oar holders. Not that big a deal but it may cause undo wear over time. I highly recommend this boat as an inexpensive but durable and valuable boat to access your local lakes and rivers!!
A ridiculously good deal

I ordered this boat last week; it arrived last Thursday (May 6) the next day. Free shipping! I signed up for the trial Amazon Prime thing that gives you free two-day shipping. I guess this was supposed to come in 2 days but I was lucky and it came in only one day. You can do this, then cancel the trial membership if you don't want to pay later. Anyway, the boat. I ordered the 12' Fish Hunter. All the reviews said the "4 person" was way too small, barely big enough for 2 people. I don't know what that's like, but the 12' model I have is definitely big enough for 2, and maybe 3 if the third person would sit on the side, or was a child. I bought this boat for fishing, and I took it out today for the first time. It took about 30 minutes to inflate with a 12v pump, but only because I had some trouble with one of the nozzles. If the pump had been working correctly it would have probably taken only 15 minutes.

Once inflated, the boat was very rigid and stable. I stood up in it several times to cast. I caught 2 largemouth bass, fishing with a fly rod. I released them but if you were going to keep the fish you catch, there's plenty of room for an ice chest, and a cooler of beer, and anything else you might want to bring with you. This boat is a really good choice for a fisherman who either can't afford a bass boat or doesn't have the space to store it.

I rowed the boat with oars - it kind of took a long time that way, but that is more the fault of my crappy oars than anything else. If you bought a good pair of oars, it would be faster. I'm planning on mounting a Minn Kota motor on this in a few weeks so I didn't bother getting a better set of oars. When you're done, the boat can deflate fairly quickly (you can unscrew the Boston valves, although two of the valves have to be pinched - the conventional type.) It folds up to about the size of a large sleeping bag. It will fit in the backseat of a car.

For 180 dollars this boat is an insanely good bargain. It's made out of extremely thick, heavy, durable vinyl. The green and yellow colors are very appealing - sort of like the John Deere color scheme, although the green is darker. It's like the Oakland A's colors. An attractive young woman in a kayak complimented me on the boat, saying that it looked cool. I think it does look pretty cool.

So, in conclusion - Sevylor rocks, buy this boat.
